Permanent indication errors caused by the ageing of the measuring system can be ignored,

as they only account for a fraction of the indication accuracy.

6.4 Zero adjustment

A zero adjustment may only be carried out by the manufacturer or in adequately equipped

workshops by qualied persons.

The electrical connection must only be made by qualied skilled personnel.

■

Connect the switch via cable terminal box.

■

Conductor cross section max. 1.5 mm

The terminal assignment is stated on the product label of the thermometer.

7. Maintenance and cleaning

7.1 Maintenance

This expansion thermometer is maintenance-free.

The indicator should be checked once or twice every year. To do this the instrument must

be disconnected from the process and checked using a temperature calibrator.

Repairs must exclusively be carried out by the manufacturer or by appropriately qualied

personnel.

7.2 Cleaning

CAUTION!

■

Prior to cleaning, switch o and disconnect the instrument from the mains.

■

Clean the instrument with a moist cloth (in soapy water).

■

Electrical connections must not come into contact with moisture.

■

Wash or clean the dismounted instrument before returning it, in order to

protect persons and the environment from exposure to residual media.

■

Residual media in the dismounted instrument can result in a risk to persons,

the environment and equipment. Take sucient precautionary measures.
