6.3.7 Device types

When a new, unknown instrument model should be calibrated, it can be generated

beforehand. For this instrument, information such as name, measurement parameter,

manufacturer, type of instrument and possible accuracies are dened and stored with

[Add].

Instrument models can be created for standards, calibration items, multimeters and

even shunts. There can, for example, be two standards on the instrument model

“CPC8000”. The dierent CPC8000 standards can thus have only predened

accuracies. This has the advantage that when you create the calibration certicate, only

the predened accuracies for that model can be selected. If only one accuracy is added,

it is automatically pre-selected and does not need an additional click every time.
